I had a bear tear apart my compost bin last night and I lent my game camera to my buddy because he has something eating his chicks

I had a bear tear up my bird feeder a couple of
weeks ago.
It was a very windy night and even though the feeder
is on our deck, neither I nor the wife heard the
commotion.
I think he was trying to tell us he was a big one by
the calling cards he left. LOL

I would set up my game camera but it's tied up in my parts yard watching for a couple of guys who have been raiding it for parts!

One of my earliest memories is my grandmother chasing a bear off the porch with broom. When you grow up with them they are more pest than big, scary, man eaters. These are black bears, not the western Grizz or northern Brown or Polar bears.

very true
Some old neighbors up the hill from my camp who have lived there
all their life consider them big rats.
Always chuckle when I hear her yelling and banging pots together running off a black bear.
