Wife turned 55 a few days back, and I told her she now has pfficial cougar status. She was out picking rocks with me this morning after milking, and brought me out some sweet tea this afternoon while I was planting grain. Planted 36 acres of mixed grain, and just got done before the rain. And I add in a selfie of CanadianGothic .

How do you like your packer? Ones without wheels are about the only ones in my price range, but I've been hesitant to get one because I'm not sure how I'd transport it down the road between fields.

I had one of those.I welded a 3point to the back side.Just pick it up and go.When you get to the field, either pull with the regular hitch,or the 3 point.

I used to remove the loader bucket on the 3020, use that on the drill, and lift it with the loader boom and chain to transport between fields. When I got the 13 ft JD drill I built a rubber tired packer using semi tires, and pulled it with the drill. Rolled down the road very nicely.

I guess you are lucky that one caught you? It is a strange upside down world you live in up there in Canada!.....Nice looking sowing conditions........Sam

I have 2 farms, 5 mile apart. So I have 2 packers, and leave one at each place. You can weld a stub axle near the top of the packer frame on each end,and when the tire is mounted while in field use the tire will not touch the ground. Then for travel, flip the packer over with a loader, over, so sprockets are up in the air ,and tires down , it is as simple as that. Bruce

The "strange" part is Sam , that to us, it is sometimes the rest of the world that seems "upside down" Took all these pic's with my I-phone , and posted from the stupid thing too.I-Phone is not very farmer figure friendly to type on either! Have no idea why one picture came out upside down , but maybe we where standing on our heads trying to beat the rain. Bruce

A friend's wife used to work on her tan in the spring picking rocks. She used to wear her bikini walking through the field while he drove his wheel loader. It seemed to work for them.

I have a 3pt set of forks I put on the tractor, carry the packer on that, then just raise it up out of the way to use the drawbar.
