Started out the day planting garden with 12 inch PHD. Looked around my country place and decided to get camera. Hope you enjoy, we both like flowers.

Having difficulty posting pics, only got two.

Your flowers are really pretty. I bet it takes a bit of work to keep that rail fence looking that good, really nice.

Actually the split rails are 30 years old made from locust, no maintance, the post I made from concrete, 60 of them, no maintance. The flower beds require a little work.

Many truck loads of wood chips for flower beds. You have to be a flower child from the 60's to love flowers.

Nothing like flowers to brighten up a place.Looks like you have a good variety. Believe it or not, I have two varieties of rose blooming now.

No need to be a "flower child" George. Flowers are gift to us all. I just wish I had the time and talent to create nice looking displays. They never hurt a homes appearance IMO.

Bret,
I've always always enjoyed flowers. I use them
around everything so I don't have to use
weedwacker.

Have pole barn lined with them so I don't have
rain gutters, which I hate to clean and 10 ft off
the ground at my age is dangerous. With one ft
eves, the rain falls on flowers and mulch to keep
the dirt off the sides of barn.

Pole barns with metal roofs and no eves you find
green stuff growing on sides. No thank you.

Having a terramite comes in very handy moving
mulch. The mule is for smaller spots. I even have
a 12 inch sod cutter which works great to pull up
the sod and make new beds.

The boss's next project is to fill the old gravel
pit with native wild flowers. We hauled in 6 loads
of horse poo. Let it sit for a year or two, spread
it around and then plant wild flower seeds. No way
am I going to weed it. Flowers will have to be
taller than weeds.

Flowers is just something we both like to do. The
beds in the pic were started 7 years ago. They are
filling in nicely. Little care is needed when you
get to maximum density. The blue and white
flowers bloom in spring and fall, adds a nice
touch to see spring flowers bloom in fall.

George, Beautiful place you have. I had My wife look at your post as she loves flowers. She remarked, "how pretty" Thanks for sharing. Richard
