If BK is owned by InBev (Belgium/Brazil) along with Bud and Heinz, counldn't they then be considered not from Canada also?

Inbev does not own Burger king. But an investment group in Brazil does own the majority share of it's stock.

Burger King has been controled by 3G Capital of Brazil since 2010.

I'll have you know it's " Tim Hortons" , not "Canadian donuts". TH did have a deal going with Wendys for several years but that had a falling out after Dave Thomas died.
BK is moving head office here for lower taxes and less government meddling.

I find it funny that people are raising cane about BK moving to save tax money when every single one of the complainers would do it in a heart beat if it put money into their pocket. LOL

I think it was Benjamin Franklin that basically said it was every Americans duty to pay the least taxes they legally could.
If countries are legally going overseas to escape our taxes, then we need to reform our tax code.

Seems like when near 50% pay no federal taxes something is wrong.

LOL, now that's true....and funny!

Our economy grows when the government (both fed and state) creates a business friendly environment. Currently we don't have that. So better paying jobs and companies themselves are going to move off shore. They are, after all, in business to make money. Pay less in taxes and they can keep prices and cost down making them more competitive.

The US is no longer business and capitalist friendly. Plus the Department of H O M E L A N D S E C U R I T Y probably even checks the menu in case there is something subversive.
Job security and all. There must be able to find a bogie man somewhere to justify the budgets.
