Baler Twine Mfr.: 1940-1960

Found an interesting documentary video on the making of baler twine in the 1940-1970 era. Also several scenes of baling "the way it used to be done". Probably some of us BTDT. Enjoy!

Pretty labor intensive. You'd think after all these years somebody would have come up with a machine that we could feed the used twine in to that would splice it back together and roll it back up.
We can put a man on the moon,but we can't reuse baler twine.

I don't know where I thought sisal came from - but that wasn't it.

Makes you wonder how they invented all the complicated machinery to make the twine.
