Battery Strap

I am looking for a post carry battery strap, and cannot find one anywhere. Does anyone know where I might be able to get one?
Just a simple strap that will lift & carry a 6 or 12 volt battery by it's top posts, that's all....

I would go to the type that clamp the battery by the sides. Your much less likely to damage the battery that way. The straps that carry the battery by the post can break the post loose in the battery top.

Here is a picture of the type I use.

(quoted from post at 01:58:37 10/12/14) If the post is weak enough that lifting the battery while 2 of them are sharing the load they are ready to fail anyway. There is not enough room to get the side clamp type in many battery boxes as I was recently reminded when I pulled the battery out of my old H. Here is a link to the one I just ordered from Amazon.

John I disagree with the post needing to being weak for them to break. I have seen guys break BRAND new heavy duty batteries by lifting them by the post only.

Good thing to have, infact the only way I can install battery in my 39. That clamp style looks good however would not work in all places. For my little garden tractor batterys I use a tarp strap, hooks through the holes in posts and rubber so no sparks.

I thought a post battery strap was the way to go until one day I came home from the store with my new battery in hand, turned to close the car door and the strap cam undone and there goes my brand new battery hitting the concrete on the corner, broke the corner off the case and out went all my acid solution.

So much for that.

I cannot lift the battery out of this piece of equipment without one.
I may have to order one online.

Some batteries come with straps. Why not grap old battery with vice grips and pull it out? Then put an old belt around battery to install new battery. Leave belt on battery. Bubba could tell you how many wraps of duct tape it would take to make a handle out of.
