OT Firefox browser

had to have computer fixed-put a different firefox browser than what was on it before. the new browser puts new bookmarks in a "recently bookmark" folder instead like the old firefox where it puts new bookmarks in on the bottom of bookmark menu. how do i get the original firefox browser back?

Be sure to read this if you decide to go back to older version,

"Often when there is a problem with a Firefox update, people look for a way to go back to the previous version. That usually doesn't solve the problem and will make your computer and information vulnerable to attack."

I have version 34.0 and have master list and recently booked marked. Click around a little bit. You should be able top sort organize etc.

Click Bookmarks, click Organize Bookmarks, double click Bookmarks Menu and drag the Bookmarks to what ever folder you want.

If you mean on the initial Bookmarking, then right click on a blank area of the page you want to save, hit the star on the top right of the pop up box, the next box will show "Edit the Bookmark", go to the "Folder" section and click the big down arrow to the far right of the "Bookmarks Menu". A drop down box showing all your folders will appear along with the option to create a new folder if you need it. Takes a lot longer to explain than to do. Took me a little while to get the hang of too.

I am not familiar with pros/cons between Firefox and Google browsers. I have been using google for a couple years. What is better about FIREFOX ?

It's not Microsoft Internet Explorer so it's not targeted like IE. It's not part of the Google/Big Evil Corp That Wants To Know Everything You Do And Keep A Record Of It/Big Gov't/World Gov't Partner. There are other browsers out there too, but Firefox was around several years back when IE started getting targeted by every hacker in known universe. That's when I started using it and it's comfortable for me now. It's not perfect, but I can't stand IE. As far as Google, I like the search engine but the company itself reminds me of a giant spider weaving it's web to cover the world before devouring it. It's too close to the wrong end of gov't and it's just plain getting creepy.

when you save a bookmark a window comes up and gives you a choice of where to save the bookmark. Select bookmarks menu and it should show up like it used to. No matter where you save them to, they will still show up in recently bookmarked for a while.
