Char- Lynn power steering units.

I wanted to say thank you for all of your help threw this project I have going on. My next question is that I am ready to get hydric hoses for it know. So let see if I get this right on where they go. 1.Pump one hydric hose run stright to the orbit steering, 2, this one runs from the orbit steering to the resever tank. 3.runs to the tank to the pump (low fuild side). 4 Thread whole I have on this block I plug because it would go to the live hydric arm if I had one which I do not.Yes I am installing it on a 1951 farmall M signle front tire. Orbit is my power unit to my steering rod to the gear worm. Thanks Brent.

I'm not sure of your number 4 - that doesn't make sense to me. The rest is spot on. The line from the pump to the torque motor will need to be high pressure with fittings, but for the rest to the tank and then back to the pump you can use hose and clamps. I'm not sure how it was originally, but that is how my M has always been.

Your description of hole 4 sounds like a flow divider and you need to run that back to reservoir also or you will be operating on high pressure all the time if you plug that hole.

The tank that I am useing is off an old Case tractor. A (1964 Case 430) I had bought two case tractors one year. Ths one I had savage out had a pump and a seperate tank with a Manifold reservior block on the bottom of the tank. Which them hooked up to the narrow front gear assy which truned the front tires. I did not keep the stuff so when I bought the Char-Lynn stuff I needed a resrvior tank so I thought that I would use that compelete set up which I did .Will it work I hope so if not well then I need to re think it.Reservior block is part number G-45308The block under the tank is a part number G-46313 reservior block.
