L and LI john Deeres

Hello im working on a restoration project on an L john Deere and Also an Li john deere does anyone no the part number of the fuel tank for these tractors they are both late model and i no that they made a 5 gal. and a 8 gal. and im not sure what i should have in either one of them

Go to JD Parts Catalog on line and search for Model L or LI, Their are complete parts break down by serial number for these tractors.

Tractor Data says 6 gallons for all.

I looked that number up an it shows its for a LA not t an L AN i couldnt find anything on an LI. Looks like the L is suppose to have a 5 gallon tank but there is a serial number break showing another tank on the L so it may be the 8 gallon tank they made both sizes iom just not sure which part number goes with which tank

AL 2764 T fits both LA and Li tractors all serial #'s

The model L has 3 different tanks based on serial#'s
AL 2072 T ( 000000 -L624999)
AL 2270 T (L625000-L639999)
AL 2678 T (L640000-0000000 )
