senior pictures

Finally had the time to finish up the senior pictures that my daughter wanted done. My wife took the pics. I think they turned out very well. Just thought I would share some of my favorites. The tractor is a 53 super M that my grandpa bought new. It now belongs to me and I had it restored for his 90th birthday. I guess that keeps it tractor related right. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Congratulations to all on your Daughters graduation, I hope she is able to continue her education in an agricultural field if she decides to. That tractor looks sharp, must have brought back a lot of memories for your Grandpa.

Very nice pictures of a pretty girl and a pretty tractor! Congratulations to all of you, you have every right to be proud! Your wife is a very good photographer, but how could she go wrong?

I can't add anything that hasn't been said. Fantastic photos, pretty girl and nice tractor, now that's a combination that's hard to beat!
I had lost track of FFA activity for several years, but about four years ago our local paper began printing articles about the FFA activity in some of our local schools. It was then I realized just how many girls are active in FFA now. One school in our county even has a woman FFA instructor.

How absolutely fitting that a great granddaughter is a proud Future Farmer, and pictured with great grandpa's SM. Even as well finished as the tractor is, she makes it look even better.

Question is, does drive/use it? Or does she have her own? Put her on that SM in a parade, and she'd have half the eligible young men in the county following her. Let her do a plowing match, and she'd likely be fielding proposals by the third pass. Not to be taken so much as advice, but as warning... :)

Thanks for sharing the pix, and congratulations to the young lady.

Great pictures. I still can't get used to the idea of "informal" senior pictures- When I graduated in '66, we had profession portrait-style pictures done at a photo studio.

I was a delegate to the state FFA convention in Washington state in about 1964, I think, and one agenda item was whether to admit girls to FFA. I don't think you'd get to vote on that, these days. We voted NO, by the way. We sure as heck weren't gonna have some silly girls wrecking our good-ole-boys club! LOL

I thought I was the only one who drove an M in pantyhose and a skirt...

I need to stop cross dressing.

BTW. she is really sharp to have pictures with a tractor. I love to see someone proud of the old iron.

Those are much more interesting than the usual gray or white background in studio pics.

I like creativity; looks like she's not a "follow the crowd" type person.

Agree with everything was said, beautiful tractor, beautiful girl.
It looks like you did the same thing I did, put the oil-change sticker in the wrong place, on the pre-cleaner housing, then realized that Nope, it went on the bottom of the oil cup and tried to peel it off, but left the sticky-part still stuck on.

great pictures and congrats. I may start something but I bet she learned more that will help her in the future from earning that jacket than if it had been a sports jacket.

Thank you for the comments. I am just so proud of her. Her mom and I divorced when she was 3. So most of her life it has just been me and her. Through high school she has been in ffa, cheerleading, raises sheep, works at burger king, and has stayed on the high honor roll. She plans to get a degree in ag communications. Starting out at Joliet junior college and finishing up at Illinois state. It is just so hard for me to how well she has done with the hardships with her mother, and living with this dumb Ole ditch digger all of her life.
