That was me that shot his horse, I was ordered to shoot the biggest horses a55 on the field and I shot too low.

NBC has a long history of...well, lying! back int he 80's I think it was, they couldn't get a supposedly unsafe pickup truck to burst into flames. So they used incendiaries to concoct an "incident". As with so many other things, it turns out NBC and Williams are just people, complete with all the flaws we all have. Good riddance I say. The days of Chet Huntley and David Brinkley are long, long gone. These days you can't trust any of them for accuracy, it's all agenda driven to one degree or another.
