We started an old mf 1800 today the guy that owns it hadn't seen it in 10 plus years the solenoid was stuck but jumped the terminals and as soon as the stater caught the ring gear it roared to life it ran good but the hydraulics weren't working I think it just needs run awhile my question is it was pouring out white smoke while we ran it for 15 min. I think maybe it ha some stuck rings if we put a little ATF in the fuel and ran it awhile would that help free them? I know its not antifreeze I checked the oil and the radiator never went down its going in auction in 2 weeks but thought it would give it a better appearance if it quit smoking as bad

The smoke is probably leaking injectors. They might clean up with running, otherwise they will need to be repaired. New fuel filter would be a good idea.

But... Need to look into the hydraulic problem before running it any more. Don't want the pump running dry.

Our Massey 4900 has smoked blueish white since it was almost new, but that's just the way I think the 903 was, I know yours doesn't have the same motor but that's how are 4900 is, it'll smoke the shed up in no time.

Yeah, I looked it up online. The v8 cat will smoke blueish white til it gets a load on it. Starting as quick as you said should be a good sign too.
