Not much to see ,but this is our little system

i made this ring out of concrete wire to hold the manure,,,the little shed gets cleaned everymorning, anything wet goes in the ring, the bedding gets shook up in the little shed. The ring is a temporary holding area for easy access each morning. It was full so yesterday morning I emptied it early while the snow still had a frozen crust I could walk on.

I take it to the back of our property, where I have a pile and some more rings,I move it around some during the seson and it turns into nice compost,I use it in the garden, and give some to neighbors too.

we are lucky, our neighbor behind us has a few horses,so everyone gets along well.

and their horses go in the pasture, which belongs to his dad,,,right behind us to the left of our lot.
2 acres to be situated where we are, also to find a modest affordable house .

My dealer had his place of business in Fairfield, but he lived further west out in the hills on an acreage. He was a real character; he and a friend got to drinking one afternoon and went to a livestock auction and bought some sheep so he wouldn't have to mow the yard. His wife was really upset because he hauled the sheep home in the back seat of their new Cadillac.

They were both "in the bag" when I saw them about 6 p.m. at an equipment convention in San Francisco. A few hours later he had a heart attack and died in the hotel room. His wife thought that they wanted too much money to fly his body back to NJ, so she had him cremated and carried his ashes back to NJ on the plane.
