international 240 steering problem

While snow plowing the other day i noticed that my 240 would steer
until it runs out of linkage but the steering wheel/shaft would keep
spinning as much as i wanted to turn it. it feels to me like
something is stripped inside. could it be the bull gear or possibly a
bad gearbox? not very familiar with the set up on manual steering
for tractors. if anyone is able to give me some info on the issue or
possibly diagnosing the issue that would be great. And a place i can
find the parts to fix would also be great as parts for these tractors
seem to be hard to come by. Thanks for any help

The issue is likely In the shafting and Ujoint keys, or in the gear box Keys. Looking at it while turning it to see where the lost motion is located. I hope it is in the shafting, Jim

it doesn't look like it is in the u joints. it all seems fine until i can no longer see the shaft. looks like the keys to me then. any idea where i would find those? or possibly a new box? thanks for the input.
