If you have the paperwork, 'into' Canada should be no problem (should is the operative word). Take LOTS of good bug spray. Have phun !

Ole Time Woodsmen's is the only one that really works for black flies.

Were not really that much different than you guys south of the 49th parallel. Typically whatever your state requires of you is same for us. Passport, valid drivers license, insurance & registration. I know this is a sort point for most, but do not bring any type of guns! Don't lie to the border agent, cause if you have done anything they will know.

Having driven to AK three times, flown a bush plane up and back once. Also lived there 3 years and worked in the guide industry and bush pilot, there are almost zero trails to ride in Canada or AK. You will only use it because you have it, not because you need. it. You will need to HIKE to fishing and hunting. Take hip boots instead. And a hat with mosquito netting built in.

I sure second what you are saying. I don't know where they get their training but United States Custom Agents can look in your eyes and see all the way to your soul. I have crossed the boarder many, many times and normally they will ask you about a half a dozen questions and
they will already have the answers on their computer screen in front of them. Tom

I & the wife have a home in Iowa & Alaska. We travel back & forth at least once a year. Email is open if you have questions.

Make sure you or your cousin haven't had any DUIs. Four friends of mine drove 6 hours to the border. At three in the morning one of the party had to be left behind because he had a DUI three years prior. Check this item out in your plans.

Brother in law drives a semi. he says every time he used to go north and come back south of the border, coming back, he had to unload everything out of his cab. Now that he has done away with the beard he is allowed to pass without unloading everything. moral of this story-- bee clean shaven it saved him hours at the border. He said he used to go in at more than 1 crossing and he used to get stopped and had to unload cab at every 1 till he shaved. He said it was the same way with campers people had to unload everything.
