Hey guys Iam new here
Iam in the process of refurbishing a 51 ford 8n
But this tractor has the headlights mounted on top of the hood
Not on the side like every other I have saw
Was wondering if anyone knew if this was something some one did or a differnt year hood
I can't see any holes in the side
Or any place were someone patched a hole

Thanks for any Info

That's what I was wondering
But I don't see any place were it had one hooked up
I'd say it's a hood off one with a loader

Just looks goofy
I may move them down on the side
Thanks for the info

If the loader was properly removed to use on a different tractor you would not see any signs of it ever having one. The only place where you might see any paint dammage from a loader is on the front axle mount as that and the rear axle fender bolts are the only places a loader mounts. So doughtfull the hood is from a different tractor.

Vorheesjr,8Ns did not come from the factory with any headlights, lights wee a dealer installed option. Most were mounted on the doglegs on each side of the radiator.Like some have said ,good possibility it had a loader on it at one time is why they were mounted on top of the hood.
