transmission oil plug in Farmall Super M

I was changing the transmission oil in the Super M and misplaced the plug drain plug. The local dealer told me it is a 1 inch pipe thread but I think it may be bigger than that. I have not given up on finding the plug since it has to be close to the tractor but wondered if anyone can confirm the size so if I have to replace it I can get the correct plug at the hardware store. Thanks for any help!

Did you look in the drain pan? One inch tapered pipe thread is correct

On a side note, I like to put a LITTLE permatex on the threads.

Definitely 1" pipe. I was once considering using the trans as a hyd sump and had the drain sized up and a pipe installed. It was inch. I did abandon that idea.
