super a flywheel

i have a 50 model super a that i am trying to restore. when the flywheel ring was removed i noticed a crack in the small lip that is raised about 3/8 of an inch just above ring. i went to a salvage dealer looking another flywheel and everyone i found had parts of the lip missing or broken. one he said came out of a tractor that was running but he could not answer my question. Question if i install the broken flywheel back in the tractor will it cause problems such as vibration or not all help appreciated. i cant find a new one and dont think it can be welded and fixed.

I doubt you would be able to feel any vibration. Slow as those engines turn the effect would be minimal. If
you want, you could grind away an equal amount on the opposite side.

Told you some time ago to use it and dont worry probably more than no running around like that. It happens when removing old ring without heat.

Knock the rest of the rim off and then you for sure won't have to worry about it. Most of those flywheels have some or all of that rim missing.
