Planting potatoes

The front hopper contains granular fertilizer. The smaller hopper on the planter contains a fungicide which is sprayed onto the seed potatoes as they are planted.

Pretty neat. Lot faster than me stringing
a wire. Then hoeing a furrow then the wife
dropping them then me hilling them up.
Just planted ours too. But we just have
one row, 50 some ft. :)

Which part of England are you in?....I am from Northern Ireland.....got my spuds planted last week but we still use the old Ferguson bell dropper and child labour LOL

Interesting planter, early 50's when I was a little kid my dad had an old horse planter made into a potato planter. It had eaves trough down spouts down through a wooden box behind the openers, the box was maybe 6 or 7 feet long and 2 1/2 foot wide with 2 x 6's around it. Two of my older brothers each manned a hole dropping potatoes down the pipes. I don't remember what covered rows behind the planter though.

I am 3 miles up the coast from Fishguard on the North Pembrokeshire coast.
