jd pedal tractor?

Was chatting with another trucker today and he said he has what he thinks is a 50's vintage jd pedal
tractor. No pics, but he described it as being jd with an engine compartment you could see through.
Wouldn't that make it the 2 cylinder jd version? Said it has some faded paint but the wheels are intact
and usable, his daughter was riding it a while back. Saidbit had wooden peddles. Any idea what he has
and what it's worth? He said someone offered him $100.00 and I thought it might be worth more than that
to a collector.

If he'll take a hundred bucks for it and it's mostly complete, that's a pretty good deal. Dad bought a new one a couple years ago and I believe he paid $400.00 or so for it.

It could bring more then $100.00 . Look at ebay.
My brother sold his early 50s 2 cyl for a few hundred
that was pretty well busted up.
Collector happened to see it in the junk pile and offered him the price.
SOLD. I can't remember if it was large or small frame.
Certain models seem to worth money. Good luck!

I watched one sell at auction one day, it had wrong seat, front wheels were rusted out and it still brought $500.00. Just depends on location and how bad someone wants it.

Depends which model, which version of that model, and the condition. Found these on-line to help you determine what he might have.
