New bearing design!

Balls touching each other under load is an issue of wear that does require a cage to prevent. This appears to be solved with the system. However a fully loaded bearing is not point contact, it is a spot surface based on ball and race deformation. This spot has highest pressure in the center, and tapers to nothing at the edges. The intentional irregularities in the "new" system might affect this loading pattern in a very negative way. A full complement bearing (stuffed with balls) must have at least one pair of assembly grooves in the races to get all the balls between the races. (looked pretty crude in the demo)
One lubricant free unloaded bearing spinning in air is not convincing at all. Jim

That was my first thought too. Pack it full of grease and put a load on it and see what happens. They would solve a lot of problems if they work. Best of luck to them.
