Farmall H dies after 10 min

Farmall H will start up fine and carb adjustments seem ok but after about 10 min it dies. I can sometimes nurse the choke and back off the throttle and keep it from dying all the way but if I advance throttle at all it dies again. To address this issue I have put a rebuilt carb on it, changed the sediment bowl screen, confirmed good gas flow through the gas line, yet nothing has seemed to effect it. It wont run again until it cools down, then will run for 10 more minutes. Any suggestions?

Coils and condensors can cause those symptoms. When it dies on you, check the spark. It should be bright blue and jump at least a quarter inch. A poor spark will fire a rich mixture as long as the compression isn't too high. When the engine speeds up the compression increases and the weak spark won't fire the plug.

Fire it up run it till it dies then check your spark the moment it dies. Make sure you have a good blue white spark that jumps a 1/4 inch gap or more. If you have a good spark try pulling the gas cap off. Do so slowly and listen for it blowing or sucking air. If the tank vent it clogged it can cause that problem also. If spark is poor maybe a bad condenser

Also check to ensure that the screen in the bottom of the gas tank is not partially blocked or plugged as this will also give you the described problems

Agree, coils especially. Feel it and see if it's hot. If so, you may have your smoking gun. Since you checked fuel flow then a clogged breather to the fuel tank wouldn't be the case in this instance but that does become problematic over time.

My Super C did that, about gave me fits until it quit one overcast day when I knew the gas tank was nearly empty. Thought that it might have run out of gas, so I opened the fill cap & looked in the tank w/flash light. There was the paperboard cap off of the lid of something (like a jug "heet" ?) inside the tank covering the fuel line inlet. (Not enough gas in the tank to allow it to slosh away.) Fished it out of there with push button grab-claw & haven't had a problem since. (Probably helps that the carb had been thoroughly cleaned, sediment bulb assembly replaced, new points, condenser & coil while I was trying to trouble-shoot the problem.) Bottom line, be sure to check the tank for things other than rust! (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Yup. Rust or varnish blocking the fuel line connection at the bottom of the tank will do that every time. Carburetor bowl plus a low flow of gas will keep it running for a few minutes. Very common problem.
