Hi Tractor heads
I recently bought a 1946 Ford 2N, it wasn't running much, 20 seconds at a time at most but I decided it sounded ok from what I could hear. She was only running on three cylinders, one plug wire was cut into at the distributor end. the water pump was trash and the wiring a mess. So I rebuilt the distributor including a new points mounting plate, replaced the water pump (but the pulley is still wobbly)Changed it over to 12volts, rebuilt the carb, cleaned and sealed the fuel tank, new plugs and wires, oil change and wiring harness, governor gasket, radiator repair and a good clean up. I got her (LUCY) started last Friday, she was quiet ran like a top, so I used her Saturday all day (with no brakes) and this ticking showed up. It's more prominent at the front of the engine and on the oil filter side. She does burn some oil and the engine oil was thick. At first the oil pressure came and went but now it seems ok. Got any ideas as to what it is. will post videos tomorrow
