Hay yesterday

I small square baled three loads of grass hay yesterday with my sons 2520 and my 24t baler. The baler left a few untied after I changed twine so I will have to wait untill the next time to find out if it is a baler or a twine problem. I use 7200 twine and usually only have an untied bale when it changes balls of twine.Sorry that I did not wash the 2520 before the pics as it is dirty from spending most of it's time on the feed grinder. Nice looking outfit!

You don't often see a four cylinder Deere 10/20 series tractor with double stacked front end weights. Do you need them for carrying big round bales on the 3 point hitch, or are they for another application?

That tractor looks plenty shiny from here! When my baler fails to tie after the change over to a new ball it is usually because I didn't tie a good enough knot or just plain forgot.

Lovely scene.

Strange to my eyes of a tractor without a cab, and bales being thrown into the trailer.

Wizzo,
Around the US, his setup is pretty common for the smaller hay guy. 50-60hp open station and a smaller baler. Either dumping onto the field or kicking into a wagon.

Of course the big hay operations have lots of big and new equipment.
