OT Bought my Wife a Newer Car

My wife and I went car shopping Saturday and went to Enterprise Car Sales in Glen Carbon IL. Their prices are a no haggle price and are based on Kelly Blue Book. The salesmen don't get any comission so they don't try to pressure you into buying. They have a 7 day buy back guarantee. So if we're not happy with the car they will buy it back less $200 fee or we can trade it for a different vehicle. We were able to get a loan with them thru Wells Fargo for 2.59% but then later we decided to go with a loan thru our State Farm agent because they gave us gap insurance which we would of had to pay Enterprise for because they offered it as an option.
We bought a 2014 Chevrolet Impala Limited. It's a nice car and I am very satisfied with the way we were treated and recommend going to see them for your next car. I just wanted to share this with all of you..

I've had 2 Impalas. They never broke down but both developed transmission trouble at around 100,000 miles. I suggest you see if there is some preventive steps to take.

One of my daughters bought a vehicle from Enterprise in Greensboro, NC. a few years ago. As you said, no hassle and very friendly folks. I was with her when she bought it and was favorably impressed.

Well just think about where their cars come from ? RENTALS ! and they get the &^*$ ran out of them in a rental fleet and oil changes ? doubt it had any. Guy at work had to rent one while his car was in the body shop. Oil was VERY black and low. He told them about it and they said it was ok. HA !
Did you get both key fobs ? if so you were lucky.

I bought a 2014 Impala Limited that had been a lease car w/10k miles on it from a Chev.dealer in Wahkee,Ia. Thought I got a good deal on it and like the car very much and well satisfied. Traded a 07 Impala w/78K and the 2014 is a much better car.

wife has purchased several rental returns was very satisfied with all of them. If I ever quit the used car dealer I will go back to buying them. we don't get them here at this dealership.

Funny you should post this. I am getting ready to go out and plant beans. My T shirt says "Ask me about our upcoming Enterprise Car Sale". I got several of them when I bought a '92 Pontiac from them in '93. It was in excellent shape and was a very good car. I know the "drive it like you stole it" mentality, but I was young and thought I had really stepped into the world with that car. My brother bought one a year later and drove it for 150,000 miles. It finally wouldn't run one day I asked him about plugs and he just looked at me as only he can. I replaced the plugs and she kept on going. You wouldn't believe what those factory plugs looked like. I should have kept one.

All depends on who has driven the rental. Not trying to discourage you, but some get severely abused. Our company rents quite a bit, and when I rent one, I check them over fairly well before I even take a rental on a trip since I do not want stuck along the side of the road while traveling, and some of the vehicles show pretty significant wear and tear in 10,000 miles. Most rentals are sold about the time they fall out of the factory bumper to bumper warranty, since they want to avoid paying any type of repairs, thus you see a lot of them for sale with approx. 36,000 miles on them (give or take).

Used to work for a GM dealer, they bought a lot of low mile rentals and lease cars. All were run through the shop, most problems were cosmetic, trim etc, sometimes a bent rim, maybe a tire or wiper blades, most covered by warranty. If you looked it over your good to go, an Impala is a super nice car.

We bought a 2011 Impala ex rental; it was 8 months old and had 12,000 miles; less than 2/3 the cost of a brand new one. Drove it for 120,000 miles, only put brakes and tires on it. Very good car. Middle daughter now drives it; replaced with a 2014 Impala LT. Is the 2014 Limited the same body style as the 2007-2013 models? The one we have now is the new body style, I feel it is a bit more secure on the road and a bit quieter than the 2011. About 5 % better on fuel but it has the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine. Whenever I rent a car, I treat it as my own, since they do have your credit card imprint which leaves you at their mercy....
