NH 575 Baler Uneven String Length

I have a New Holland 575 baler and the bale chamber doesn't seem to be fed evenly. The bales have shorter string on the left side of the bale. The packer fork that pushes hay in to the bale chamber has three adjustment points at each end of the packer drive tie rod. There are a total of 9 different combinations of adjustment. Does anyone know which combination feeds the most material to the far side of the chamber?

Turn baler by hand till it is farthest left. Change setting. You can tell. Also you might try going a little faster. And maybe you are running it a little slow. also windrow size. If want perfect bales, everything else has to be right. Kinda like the old saying. Strive for perfection, but take what you get.
.

It sounds backwards but you actually move the feeder forks to the RIGHT to get more hay to the LEFT of the chamber. This lets the feeder forks get more hay to push to the left side.

I have not had experience with the 575 but what second post said is what book says for my NH baler though feeding system is different. Where abouts are you? I live in Ellensburg. It would probably help you if you could pick up an op manual for the baler.

It is kind of confusing that's why I wanted to ask. So the left most pin position on the fixed end of the connecting rod seems to tip the packer forks furthest to the right and should allow more hay to be pulled in to the chamber. The feed forks look like they will be further to the left in their cycle before the packer fork swings through. Maximizing the amount of Hay it can pull through.

The packer fork end of the connecting rod also has three positions. Using the top pin location seems to cause the packer forks to point furthest to the left when cycling through the bale chamber. Both of these seem like the most likely combination to maximize feed to the left.

I hope that all makes sense.

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks - I had the same thing happen and have already fixed that. I have had to replace one plate and two springs. Seems crazy that those could break. Fixing this issue hasn't had much influence on this problem though.
