It was pretty dry here this morning so I had my helper rake up the hay I cut yesterday and after a while I climbed onto my tractor and towed the baler to the hay. I hurried to get done before noon, only 40 round bales, and then we headed home. We had company coming to help me celebrate my surviving 82 years. My wife who is my only helper [and hay raker] had planned a good meal and couple of surprises for me. Indeed I have had another great birthday and I enjoyed the day off but I had better get going tomorrow so that guy with the scythe doesn't catch up with me. Good health and a long happy life to all!

Happy birthday ! I sure hope I can still go bale hay when I turn 82 , but I just don't think it will happen for me, what with being born in December and all. Keep on rolling !

I finished the last half of my baling on Sun 7/12:, my 72 nd birthday. Red oat hay, 2 wire bales,ihc 55 w baler. Why am I still doing this 54 years later?
