not sure on my luck

Got home today and power in about all the county was out so I grabbed my Harbor Freight 7kw generator and hooked it up. Started and ran great so I left to get more gas for it and when I got back in found out that the plastic flywheel on it had disintegrated and got hot enough to shut itself off. Unit is about 4 years old and we got it when the ice storms took down the lines, that time it ran for 4 days straight and I have used it for 2 days at the local tractor pull every year. Its been real good so far. What's my chances of finding flywheel parts?

I'd bet there was a mud dauber nest on it and it unbalanced it.

Look on CL or eBay and see if you can find one of those generators. Have one for parts, cause I'm doubting your luck on finding that part. You never know, though. eBay has just about everything.

Check with Harbor Freight, I have had good luck at getting parts for the things they show.

Those engines are usually cheap copies of Honda engines, so you should be able to get parts readily off ebay or amazon. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=honda+13+hp+flywheel
