How To Plant Mustard Seed

I want to plant Mustard seed as a cover crop in a field. Since the seed is so small, what is the best way to seed it using a tractor? Can I mix it with cereal rye grass in a seeder?

White Mustard cover crop seeds are a useful cover crop in vineyards, annual crop rotations, and home gardens as a winter cover. White mustard suppresses soil borne diseases including verticillium in potato, common root rot, and soil nematodes. It does a lot of other things too. Read up on it sometime.....

Thanks for the information. Will it also kill plain earthworms? I would like to keep the worms alive in raised bed.

Like TF said a hand held seeder is best. I have a little plastic one hand SCOTTS that is on ever shelf a Lowes. Does good job. Man really has to pay attention to get the spread right. Those seed are so small. We plant food plots this time of year and turnips and greens are a big part of the program.

i've had excellent results with a brillion grass seeder, the kind with grain drill style fluted feed, not the kind with the bristle brushes.
