Time to plan winter projects

Time to plan my winter projects:

1. Updated hydraulics on MH44
2. R&R drive train components on MH44.
3. Convert MH44 EFI from single injector to port injection.
4. Upsize intake and cam on MH44.
5. Replace neutral start switch on Ford 6610.
6. Start restoration on JD130, hopefully ready for grand kids in 10 years, and hopefully grand kids then too.
7. Replace rear tires on Farmall H.

I am putting the ROPS projects on hold.

We got new haying equipment this year that is too big for the H, so goal with upgraded hyrdaulics is to use the MH44 next season to rake and ted. I can ted with the H, but it really works the snot out of it, putting in fire craters might make the difference. The bigger rake takes a lot of volume and pressure to lift the cylinders, it works the 4020 hydraulics, so no way the H will handle it.

I am putting 13.6x38 on the H, will have a set of 12.4x38 to give away, not much left on them but FREE.

I've got so many 'projects' that I dont have to "plan".Just push the closest(or easiest" into the shop ....

I'm gonna go through my other Oliver 80 row crop and also paint it. Paint a 3 bottom Oliver trailer plow and paint my 2 bottom Cockshutt tumble plow.

My project is to put a couple more inches back on my waist.....

I have a 8'X16' hayrack piled six deep with knotty sawmill lumber that I plan to convert into siding for the inside walls of the front porch I have been wanting to remodel for the past ten years. It's been sitting on the hayrack back in the corner of the shed for four years waiting for me. It was rough planed right after the sawmill but needs to be sized down and fine planed, then tongue and grooved. I have my eye on a used commercial grade planer/sander that I hope I can pick up reasonably, my little home workshop planer won't hack that much use. I'm gonna have a lot of sawdust and woodchips for the chicken house after I'm done.

Then there is that F20 in the barn that has been begging for some TLC.

My winter wish list:

Finish the trim work in the living room, 2 years in process...

Paint, scrape the popcorn, get rid of the carpet, install the hardwood in the master bedroom.

Remodel the master bath, popcorn and carpet gotta go. Yes, carpet in the bathroom, wife doesn't like the "crunch" around the toilet! LOL

Never fails though, quickest way to get something to break down is to start a remodel project!

Well it seems like the projects are just keeping the darn animals all four feet down is the hardest thing in the winter around here. With what feeder cattle are still costing I had better put them in the house and sleep in the shed myself. LOL

I am not one to let grass grow, got pump and rotor to mount in old distributor ordered.

Have to build some splitting stands so I can put a clutch in my M5 MM, also fix the pto and synchronize the valve assembly.

Make a new entryway, some closets and a new bedroom out of this.

Finish finishing the basement I started last winter. Electrical is done, walls are done, just need the ceilings, mudding, paint, floors, and trim.

Jerry is that where you moved the garage from and did that move go well?
Ron

3 days before the move I broke my leg.
I'm still on crutches.
I just pulled the garage into the yard for now so the dirt man could remove the old garage foundation. Am planning to move the garage in about a month.

I'm going to build a Hydro-static Golf cart/show rider cart ..thinking about a 2 speed drive,,some thing that will creep around nicely as I'm looking and buzz about 18MPH to the truck,,adding a few "Fun" things to the idea..still in the thinking stage...

Finish a bathroom remodeling project, although I suspect pressure from the Alpha Female with involve it being done before winter.

Our master bathroom had a large whirlpool tub, and a 36" shower inset into one wall. Catch 22 with the whirlpool was that when you were achy enough to really need it, you were too stove up to get in and out of it easily. We hadn't used it in years. So, the plan is to replace the whirlpool with a 42" shower and convert the present shower into closet space. If anyone insists they need a tub bath, our other bathroom has a tub/shower combination.

I'm taking the easy way out on the new shower and hiring a local plumber to do it. It's now in process. When the new shower is done and operational, I'll tear the old shower out and do the work necessary to create a closet in the space.

Beyond that, I have plans to move a loader from an H Farmall to an M.

Yes I have a good 317 Deere mower for a donor unit, thinking about having the engine out front, building a 2spd. gear box and fitting the transmission into the suspension of a Golf cart,,making a "60" hood out front, and a scissor lift for the operator station,,letting it elevate about 5 ft. so I can see out over other carts when I'm in the back row,,and a suspension to help the ride...

you had to ask,
when things slow down here
wife's uncle's boat, omc out-drive rebuild (70's electric shift)
Honda ATC70 restore
try to find shares for my old 2 bottom plow
new son in laws harely (ran it out of oil)
fold down bed for my sons enclosed trailer
1965 peterbuilt rat rod

Sorry to hear about your leg. Let us know how the move goes and take some pictures.
Ron

I have an AC model IB to completely restore complete with cab. An AC Model B to overhaul transmission , An AC mode I-400 to fix jumping out of 2nd gear and a bad noise in the rear end. A WD 45 to fix steering . A Woods mower to overhaul. Another B to start restoring, a 914 garden tractor to restore. Not sure I will get it ALL done over winter.

Finish the folding drop leaf table I started last year. Get caught up on firewood cutting after not cutting any last year due to shoulder surgery. Visit the kids more this year, couldn't last year.

I need to put new bearings in the 8N's transmission. Repair the cultivator plow( Broke some of the plows off using it in new ground hitting stumps.) Need to put new handles on some some of my great-granddads horse drawn plows. Pull the hydraulic pump off of the MF 165 and rebuild it. Redo the hydraulics on the Jubilee. Fix the breaks on the C65 Dump Truck. Clearing new ground for pasture and the list goes on and on....
