Tank sealer and mineral spirits

Will tank sealer, I believe the brand name if this stuff is seal-a tank, hold up to mineral spirits parts cleaner? This afternoon I did my once every two year parts washer cleanout and after hitting it with the pressure washer I found pin holes in the bottom. It's a cheap china made light weight one so there isn't much thickness to the bottom to begin with. I cleaned it up with xylene, dried it and brushed on a thin layer of this tank sealer. I'm twiddling my thumbs while I'm waiting to re-coat. I hate to throw this thing away even though the pump gave up the ghost five years ago.

The one major mistake I made with this tank was using an 'envinronmentaly safe' water based parts cleaner for the first two years. The stuff didn't clean anything and everything inside the tank started rusting so I pitched it out but evidently the damage was already started by then.

I've used mineral spirits to clean really gunky engines and such, and it didn't seem to have any effect on the paint, but I have also used mineral spirits as a paint thinner.

I would probably let the tank sealer set up good and hard and then expose it to a small amount of mineral spirits. See what happens.
