Where are the lady bugs?

Where are the Asian lady bugs this year? In the past, after the beans are harvested the girls show up very angry. They swarm and want to bite. We've had a dry past two months, very little rain. So the harvest season is ahead of schedule. Many farmers have harvested the beans and corn. NO LADY BUSG, why? I haven't seen one bug.

Here in southern Illinois I don't think they generally show up till mid October. They are a real pain. Has anyone come up with a way to discourage them from attacking your house?

Now that you mention it, hsvenvt been seeing them so far this fall.

Have seen several Monarch buttreflies, seems late in the season. Keep telling them about thst nice sancuary in Mexico, but they just flutter away.

In my neck of the woods we don't have beetles if we don't have soybean aphids. A heavy aphid year means heavy beetles. This year some farms had aphids and some farms did not. My beans had very few if any but some others had enough aphids to warrant spraying. I have not seen beetles yet but we haven't combined any beans to eliminate their habitat.

I am new to the forums and I am not familiar with the common jargon. When you say asian ladybugs are you referring to the carnivorous biocontrol beetles or the planting eating kind?

The reason I ask is as follows:
The true carnivorous ladybug can be attracted away from buildings by having a white or very light covered structure with a little heat. Vacuum as many as you can (try to minimize the suction and put something soft in the shop type vac.) and put them in a screened cage in this shelter (actually just some tented tin painted white?? and maybe a sheet of styrofoam insulation. They are attracted at a distance by light colored objects, heat prior to oncoming cold and each other (pheromones) .

Or paint your house olive drab. lol

In all seriousness too much insecticide can have a bad effect on their populations.

I had one in the truck cab yesterday, and the moths have just about run me out of the shed this summer.
