As a person from dry western Kansas I had never seen a corn crib or corn on the ear until I saw
pictures posted here. Corn only grew where there was circle irrigation and we didn't have it! My
farm is in eastern KS and most guys do at least some corn but no one that I know picks it on the
cob. I've never seen a picker running in my life! As a hog producer I would grind whole ear corn
for a few I was fattening for myself. I wouldn't even know where to go about getting it. I've always
been a bean, milo, and wheat producer all along because that's how I grew up. Every time I see a
corn crib I just imaging all of the rats and mice it attracts.

notjustair- And DEER!! I've had my share of them eating the cobbed corn in the crib. LOL! Makes for a great hunting spot though....
