Few pics of a 1951 Farmall C that we gave to my daughter yesterday for her birthday. She was pretty excited to take it for a drive, little jerky on the clutch but she is catching on fast.

Now thats a Great Birthday Gift. Congrats to your Daughter and Happy Birthday. Great paint job on the tractor. Just remember safety first..

Happy 76th John. I turned 75 last month, was wondering what it is like being 76? Being 75 is awsome.

Given enough "seat time", she will soon become a full fledged "tractor operator". Not just a tractor driver. She will put a lot of boys and even some men to shame with her skills.

Wow - that is SOME birthday gift! What a beautiful little princess it was given to. Enjoy every second with her, dad and mom... they grow up far too quickly.

I can see you put a lot of work and money into that project ! That smile is worth it all !
Any decals in the plans ? it looks naked without them. I suspect the original type may have red in them and clash with the new paint ? Maybe there are some black ones for the demonstrator tractors being made ?
JD had some black ones for industrial models.

Great picture. That's one birthday your daughter will never forget. Glad for you she liked the tractor. You wouldn't look too good driving a pink tractor. Like others said start them young. Stan

I think the red in the decals are the red of the tractor paint showing through clear decal material. I painted a C metallic blue once and it showed blue where the regular ones show red. gm

Actually hand painted "script" lettering would be very nice. If you look at a pink tractor as Girly then flowing script would fit right in. It would be fancy fancy.

Yes decals in the plans, letting the paint cure a little before finishing. Somehow time always runs out on my projects before I am ready. I think that the decals will allow the pink to show through.

You can always say darn cheap paint faded to pink ! LOL.

Some of the cheap JD green fades to some weird pale blueish color.
