Is it just me or is there anyone else that has zero tolerance for the shows?my family loves it..I can't watch 5 minutes of it.

I did not know that Star Wars was on television as a series? But no matter as it's to each his own. I don't feel the need to conform to have to watch certain movies or television shows myself.

Well I have not watched the newer Star Wars but I did enjoy the older movies. You do not like the movies/shows. That is fine. I bet that the average Star Wars fan can't stand anything to do with an old tractor. LOL So it takes different tastes for different people.

I agree, JD, I enjoyed the first three SW movies.

Then, they took things every which way with prequels and maybe sequels, and I don't have the time or patience to try to figure it all out.

But there's no use for any of us to "diss" something that millions will enjoy and pay MULTIPLE millions for the priveledge!

First one was good, haven't seen any others. Those who saw the new one say if you liked the first one, you'll like this one. No knowledge of intervening stuff needed. Wife got two movie passes from her boss, and we're going next week. So there.

You are not alone, I refer to it as star trash.. Really gets my younger brother going as he enjoys fiction, I'd rather read a good non-fiction book, maybe learn something useful.

It's a sequel, you know a sequel don't you? 9n,2n,8n
Just because it doesn't do anything for YOU doesn't mean you have to dis something.

I like tractors and Star Wars.

Most certainly to each their own.

The second one made was probably the best. Then the first one made, and the latest one. The 3rd one also was pretty good.

The 4th one made was kinda silliness even to those who like them, and the 5th and 6th were so so.

It is difficult to talk about them, as they do follow the eternal battle of good vs evil in a sci fi setting.

However, that were filmed out of chronological order as: 4, 5, 6, then a break and the silly 1, followed by 2, 3, and now #7 was just released.

#6 came out in 1983 or so, and now #7 just came out - quite a gap in there to remember the story line. I wish I had seen #7 before going.

Just got home from seeing it with my wife and daughter. I'd say it was pretty good. We always go see a movie on Christmas afternoon. This one wasn't bad at all

It's you everyone else in the world loves them. DIL got tickets for eight of us for Mon morning. I'll be thinking of you, LOL.

I've only seen one or two and really liked them. The part I liked is that most of the equipment is not new. Farmer modified, bent panels, missing parts, jumpers, etc. Very realistic compared to most Sci-Fi where everything is eternally new. They keep having to work on some of them to keep them running, anybody have a tractor like that? The other part I liked was the large walking forts, looked like walking B-17's on steroids. Pretty cool. Story line didn't interest me.

Nope. Me too. Mark Steyn had a long winded, funny take on Sar Wars from the beginning all the way to present. It is pretty much a joke. None of them are very good by any measure:

I think I saw one when I was a kid, is that with r2d2 and that other gold or silver guy, oh well I won't be seeing the new movie, I'd rather watch horse racing reruns like I did today. Lol. Just for the record I'm not a fan of American Pharoah!

That is part of the charm of the Star Wars movies for me, too. Yup, if this piece of overpriced space junk doesn't work, grab the biggest hammer you can lay yer hands on and wallop it a good one! Lucas must have had some farmers involved in writing the story lines. Lol!!!

Remember the scene in the movie with Clint Eastwood, Scott Glenn and Donald Sutherland in the scene where the Russian cosmonaut is swearing a blue steak about this Russian made POS space junk not working and he grabs a heavy object and starts beating on everything in sight? Laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair. BTDT a time or two.

I was in college when the 1st one came out in '76 or 77(?). It was required to watch for a literature class. I left after about 30 minutes, it wasn't for me.

my 1st wife and I were just married when the 1st movie came out ,, and we loved it, and is the only one that I like to still watch every 5 yrs or so ,.the other movies were just a continuance of a bad dream in my opinion,. I would loose interest and take a call from someone or quietly get involved with some bookwork while everyone else devoured the movie ,.. just couldn't get into it , so GOD MADE A FARMER , and that is me . don't care for lord of rings , planet of apes or any modern western made after 1980.that shows the feeble weak sissie minds like broke back mountain ,, UUUGGH,argghgag, ,,.only thing I can tolerate is watchin Bridgette jones sliding down the firemans pole. . LOL , you guys do know Renae is from mid state TExas ,, them folx know how to grow em down on the farm... don't care for most any other yuppi stupid chit, that wastes my time, trying to show me stuff I already know , that has been proven not to work ...,and here they think they are a gawd or sumthin , cause they are the only ones that has ever been struck with genius ,,and these genius's vote ////no wonder this country sends the worst idiots in this country to Washington to ruin this once.. GREAT AMERICA

forgot to express this ,,.in my opinion there is a total lack of creativity in all the arts ,, except for notable exceptions,,. I am told , the star wars follows the same story theme,,..and so many modern movies are yawn , computerized pyrotechnix, violence of fire, blood and gore that sensationalizesare senses to think that 6 shotz from a pistol in the gut wont hurt as long as you are the star,,those faked shots seem so improbable , remember bert reynolds taking a gremlin and jumping a bridge in se asia ,.. a stunt double did that for real, and it loox real ,, even music has lost its ability to be fresh and new and most of all a wonderful melody ,.. well enuf ranting from this ol guy about these young whipper snappers with all that energy ,,.

I love the original 3.

If you'll let me count the Family Guy versions.

The newest was made by the same guy who did the last 2 Star Trek movies. Good action movies but got too far from what make trek, trek. Up til then they would even make sure they had the right day of the week when they used a date.

Now even Spock doesn't know the difference between damping and dampening. (Hint: only one involves adding a liquid)

Some people just don't like Sci-Fi. I'm not one of them. I saw Episode 4 of SW as a 22 yr. old and was hooked ever since. I like zombie movies and TV shows too, the good ones. To each his own.
