It was a nice truck,i saw it at the farm show.An older man standing by it.I mentioned my dad had a 52 ford when I was young.

The man started talking to me,showing and explaining everything he did,

Then he started it to let it run. Even better than the truck,,,was the time spent talking to this man,and the enjoyment we both seem to have gotten. He said he did it in his barn, not all to original, but he did it all by himself. I had such a great time talking with him.it really made my day.

Beautiful truck. I wish all owners of classics were so accommodating. There was a Corvette rally near here and I stopped to see it. An owner of a '62 was next to his car and I walked up and told him that '62 was my favorite year. He said "Yeah, whatever" and walked away.

Larry, is that a in-line six and three on the tree? In 62 and 63 our FFA chapter had one like that that they got surplus from the Air Force. Good old truck.

We had a 51 1-1/2 ton. Looked the same. Had the flat head v-8 and it would never start in the winter. The yard was always packed snow so to pull start it we had to pull it through the double corn
crib. Round and round we'd go.

My Dad had a '52 f-2 that he used until about 1980.Flathead v-8 with 4spd with granny gear that you had to double clutch to shift. It was everyday loaded with about 2 1/2 ton.He mostly hauled milk to and from the dairy to be pasteurized and bottled, and later, cartons.Me,and later,my younger brothers all rode with him,til we started school.I have a lot of memories of Dad,and using that truck.Mark

At our local fire company (small) car show last summer there was a young couple with a tech car, all
done up as SEGA even had the game in the consol. Very nice couple the young lady told me all about the
car. We are in eastern NY they came all the way from British Columbia going to all car shows that listed
tech cars. Needless to say they won the long distance award

I know the old saying, "You can have it in any color you want as long as it's black." I like this color scheme, but truthfully, weren't they all black or very dark blue originally? And does anyone know what year they began offering different colors?

The old saying is only true from 1913 to 1925, Fords were available in different colors before Henry set up the moving assembly line in 1913 and after the introduction of a new lacquer paint in 1925. The first vehicle I owned that would actually run was a '52 Ford 3/4 ton, light gray with a V-8.

Hi, My dad had a 52 Ford p/u like that. I used to
stand on floor on passenger side with one hand on
dash and one on wing window latch as we were
driving. One time I had some kittens and one got
under the clutch pedal. I don't want to say
anymore.Ed Will

I had a 1950 1/2 ton w/flat head v-8 back in the early 1970's. Traded a 1960 Falcon straight up for it. The guy I traded with got the better deal. Those flat head v-8's were a big joke. I forget how many engines I put in mine until I decided to go Chevy.

I wish my 52 F2 looked that nice. Someday it will work its way to the top of the que. Thanks for sharing!
