I drove up in our field to take these pictures today,The farmers hate them, they can rip winter wheat right out of the ground and destoy it.

There should be an open year around season for snow geese. Once protected but now do a lot of damage. Cyborg smart. If you shoot at them, the whole flock seems to remember where, when, and type of camo you were wearing

I lost count,,do your zoom in thing, we will count them now,,,lol The turnips are frozen, but I have some in a basket in the basement if you crave some,,,,lol

Called skycarp around here, I used to be mad at the waterfowl, another
story but one predawn trip down a turnrow to a pit blind in a flooded rice
field I was admiring the green color of the winter wheat in the adjacent
field in the headlights of the vehicle we were in.. When we came back out I
had the time to discover that it wasn't the young wheat it was a coating of
goose sh#t. Those things had pulled every last sprout out and loafed around
long enough to sh#t it back on the ground.

At a glance , I'd say 300+. Hey, they got a right to be anywhere. If they can find grub, well, duh, that's where they will go. 'Tearing up winter crops' is all part of farming -no ? They are freakin' wild things and should be left alone !

They are miserable in crop fields, hopefully they were chased off, there's zillions of white ones, they seem to stage up by the Canadian border, then migrate south with the weather.
