I just wanted to say something nice that happend to me.I was shoveling the roof off. The young fellow that hunts the little piece of woods in our back field drove by at almoat dark. He must have seen me on the roof. I know he was snowplowing for his boss around the clock for a few days.My cellphone rang,,it was the hunter,,he said Ill be there in 10 minutes. He came with a snowshovel,helped me finish the roof,and said,its supposed to rain tomorrow,we better get some of this snow away from the foundation.We shoveled another hour.I said,what do I owe you?He said,,,your kidding right///you let me hunt .,if I cant help you I should be ashamed of myself.
 
Now that is a really well brought up young man. If one of you bakes make a batch of chocolate chip cookies and take some of them over to him or where he works. I do that at Christmas and hand out like 800 cookies in zip lock bags. Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies. You will make a good friend with that little treat. He is a keeper.
 
Now, that is a fine fellow who offers to pay the young man.

AND that is a very fine young man who refuses the pay.

It is really nice to know that there are other GOOD hunters out there. What I usually hear are the rants.
 
Great story. Good for both of you. We have a nice family which hunts our woods now. This season, while everyone else was complaining about lack of deer, they took 6. They are so delighted they show up here bearing goodies.
 
He could hunt with rifle,,he decided on his own its to populated,he only hunts with a bow,he did get one,,,and brought me a pack of venison chip steaks,,sort of like steak ums? But,,,100 times better...

We let 3 young hunters hunt geese on our property 2 years ago. They got quite a few. It was fun to watch them lay out in the corn stalks in camouflage sleeping bags or covers and jump up when a flock of geese flew over. Now every year they bring us some meat or home made wine. Very polite young men. The one wanted to be a cop until the Ferguson Mo. riots started and changed law enforcement for ever. Now he's going to be a game warden. All nice young men.
