Tonight's weather!

Thunderstorm here in eastern NY! Crazy weather knocked my power out for a few seconds. Odd thunderstorms in Febuary in Eastern NY lightning ect.

Got one crazier than that! Less than 20 miles from me, they got 6 1/2 inches of snow this morning. I got none. All I can figure is, the Missouri River must of been the cut off line.

Did tower work yesterday. Today highways closed,50 mph wind gusts, white outs, semis overturned and widespread power outages. Had to go to tower site to work on a standby generator to get it to run and pushed snow bumper deep with a 4x4. Hour later they had pushed the snow back and it had melted off the road and I drove 50 mph back. Go figure, Central IL. Tonight at 10pm it is 35 deg and wind has laid.

Depending where you measure it, 6 to 10 inches of partly cloudy. Snow appears to have tapered off. Still windy, drifting. When it slows down, guess I need to see if I can get the Massey going. All the schools baled out last evening. Plows going to be at it for a couple days at least. Going to be a long day.

same here in MA. Wind was incredible.

I've seen stronger gusts before, but this was just relentless. Steady, and all night long. Emptied our trash barrels across the yard and broke the door on the horse shed.

I cleaned up the trash, but I'm a little afraid to look up at our roof. Shingles are getting really old and I'm just waiting for a wind storm like that to make it official...

NW Indiana has been very windy all night with snow and still doing it this morning. We have got around 8" of snow with another 3" today. Had to generate electric for 4 hours last night.

Here in SJ power went out around 10:25PM and back on just before midnight. Two neighbors have auto start gen-sets. Everything else was dead. Looking out all windows and it was out as far as you could see. Partial moon made it so it was not pitch black. Lots of wind and rain and about twenty thunder rumbles to the south of me. 9:eek:o AM all is calm with over cast. Down south got hit pretty bad.

1/2" of ice and 1/2" of rain and 3" of snow up here in the accursed St. Lawrence Valley yesterday and last night. These Texas storms have been taking a direct bead on us here. Last week a Texas storm gave us 1 foot of snow, 1/2" of ice and then 3/4" of rain to sweeten the deal.
