Crooked row would like to see farm sunset and sunrise pictures,,,and,, 1206 WMO would like to see thunderstorm pictures,,,,got any for them?

We had a neighbor that always used to say: "You can get more seed in a crooked row". He pulled two drills behind his TD9 and his rows were a mile long and perfectly straight. He took great pride in planting such straight rows.

Here is a few I have, the thunder storm did not yield a drop of rain, just some wind.

The first picture was taken from my yard around 4:30 PM May 25,2006....The second picture is the same storm around 8:30 PM....You will notice that it hasn't moved much..It was about 100 miles southeast of me in Barry County,MO which got as much as 12" of rain from it..At midnight the storm was still in that area....Someone 50 miles to the north also took a picture of the same storm..Click the link to see it...

The third picture is one I didn't take...Its a thunderstorm in Australia...

The fourth picture was taken over my corn field several years ago...

The fifth picture was taken by me of a thunderstorm over El Dorado Springs,MO several years ago..They had tremendous damage from hail..

The sixth picture was taken looking east from me 3 years ago..

The seventh picture was taken by me of a towering storm east of Joplin,MO over 50 miles away..

The eight picture is some storms coming in from the west in June 2013..

The ninth picture is a storm near Hays,KS...I didn't take this picture..

The tenth picture is a storm near Bird City,KS...I didn't take this picture..

I think there are some in the albums, but those are in the house... computer in Greehouse. Then I'd have to scan them, check that they are right side up... post here.. and get the pictures back in the house.
I went through the camera cards closest thing I have is a rainbow.

I have a story about the painter(Bob) that comes out to the yard every once in a while.
He once tried to do 30 (farm/barn)plein air sunsets in 30days... ended up giving up on the 30 day part with all the rain we had for a few weeks when he was trying it, or when working on a painting(outside "plein air") and the light wouldn't be right to "complete the look" with out studio touch up.

Took these pictures last summer looking back towards my house to the west. Almost look like the clouds are on fire.

Crooked weather and rare sighting. A land spout tornado that is not touching the ground. Taken in St. Cloud looking WSW. It was visible as my son and I drove to Albany Pioneer Days in Sept. There were no low clouds. Jim

Wife and I traveled out west last year on vacation. Stopped in Valentine Nebraska to get some lunch. This storm came in from nowhere and hit hard, it got so dark all the outside lights and street lights came on, it was 12 noon. Being from Tenn never seen anything like it, very unsettling felt trapped and nowhere it hide. My hat is off to the folks that live in this area year round! Amazing country.

It amazes me how many good photographers we have on here!!!

Every one of those pictures are fit for a calendar!!

Here's an impressive storm that blew up east of us a few years ago. The lower picture was taken about 15 minutes after the upper picture as the storm was dissipating and moving away from us.

I nabbed this shot off of the internet in '07 and I've always liked it:

Heres what the Joplin tornado looked like some 55 miles to the north..When I took this picture I was unaware of
the tornado but heard shortly after..
