The seat on the 4440 has lost its "perk" over the
years. It used to be when you pulled up on the air
adjustment it stayed there. Now it bounces in that
position and is slow to come up when you start it.
There's some sort of canister or accumulator on the
back side of the cab by the third link that I think is
related. Anyone know how these suckers work?

They wear out over time, and are very spendy to replace....several hundred bucks. Hard to find in salvage yards cuz so many have already gone bad.

I had it done once years ago and I remembered it
wasn't just air or hydraulic. Nitrogen sounds right.

Yes it's nitrogen,, and it's like a slow leak in a tire, it will get away again,,replacing it is the way and they are pricey and come "with out" charge in them
