In spite of bad thunderstorms overnight we had a decent turnout. There were some ag mechanics projects featured. Nice work by highschoolers. And we had a short ride thru the country. The three characters in the picture are from left my son Barry, DCARP (David) and me, WJYTEXAS (John). I threw the pics of the bull and random guineas in for interest. Unlike the guys in the plowday pictures posted yesterday, we aren't wearing jackets down here.

Thought I recognised you! Is that the same show I stopped at? Corn looks good, hardly any planted around me yet.

No Jon, that show is coming up June 11 in Fredericksburg. I'll be there if you make another run way down here. This one is just south of I 10 about half way between Houston and San Antonio. I grew up in the area and know a lot of folks there. We have 2 shows and a plowday every year.

I talked to the young man who did the restoration. He said he estimated over 350 hours in the restoration process. That tractor really did look good, probably better than when it came from the factory, doubt they had tires like that back then.

I worked on a 1550 that is identical to that one (except for the paint) for a local guy.

True, we are well beyond jacket weather!

If the weather that we are having this weekend moves over your way, you will be grabbing a jacket again, at least in the mornings. However, we didn't get any rain out of these lows.

Nice pics.

I wanted to make it but the weather was too iffy for a 3 1/2 hour drive. Looks like I missed a good show.
