I went back to read the IH fast hitch post and a lot of people stated you can't used 3 point equipment on a 2 point equipped tractor. Well we bought our IH 240U with a 2-point in 1960 and still have it. We have never used any 2 point hitch equipment on it other then the drawbar. But we have these arms and the top link arm which we install if you need to use a 3 point cultivator or the post hole digger. Are these rare arms rare? Because I hear the argument about the availability of 3 point equipment vs 2 point hitch equipment. I just ain't seeing it from my view.

Actually I think yesterday tractor sells them . Just goggle fast hitch adapter but sit down first and get ready for sticker shock.

I think you can still buy those new. At least that's what a local tractor jockey was telling me. And I just found some with a quick search. Gotta specify IH fast hitch.

BIL and his dad had 3 560D's back in the early 70's. They had an adapter and owned not one fast hitch implement. Old Willard wasn't going to be forced into buying any one brand of implement.

there is several types of 2 point to 3 point adapters . i have 3 that is built like a 2 point implement hitch on the front end but on the rear is made for 3 point hook up . i will try to post photos later .

I see nothing about it being a pair, if that's each they are expensive! We had a set of homemade ones that worked great, easier than hooking us a 3-point.

Thanks for the replies. Like I said before, I thought the 2 point was a great idea and you didn't need everything to be 2 point if you had these arms. The box came with a bin full of bolts we bought along time ago. Says "rocket projectile" on it.

That's an odd looking "pair". One looks like the attachment is bolted to the fast hitch arm, the other is much shorter and is it welded on?

I've seen 2pt tractors using 3pt equipment as long as I can remember. Same goes for AC snap coupler. As the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention. One thing I've learned from visiting this site for over 10 years: There is a wealth of knowledge here but some of the quickest to respond to someone needing help are the least knowledgeable.

these are 2 of this type fast hitch adapter. the first is between tractor and cultivator . the other is connected to a disk . ( top link bracket broken off from the top of adapter). i also have 2 sets of the prongs to connect a 3 point implement using a top link to the tractor

There are a lot of different styles and brands of adapters. Anyone around here that had a farmall had an adapter also. I have an Allis Chalmers WD45D. I have an AC 3pt adapter for it.Have not used it in 30 years.

For a while I was making and selling adapter for 1/16 toy Farmall 560 and 460 tractors. My adapter let you display your John Deere 3pt 4btm plow with your Farmall tractor. I sold several of them. Should try it again.

Top link on mine?

It is the correct length to fit the John Deere toy plow. The link
will move up and down.

I also made an aftermarket style 3pts for the later Ertl Farmall M
toy tractors.
