Bob,
its very shocking the number of people who fall for these scams and no one is immune. An email arrives and without thinking we click on it...and boom. my policy is to delete delete and to delete any email from my "bank", "credit card company" etc. That said I have a subscription to a newspaper online and they somehow lost my card number. I got the email to send my number and i just delete the email. Somehow they found my card number? Scams abound.

My wife got one last week. The caller, most likely Indian, called to ask about some magazine subscriptions. She wanted to know if my wife want to continue or cancel her subscription. My wife told her she wanted to cancel it. The caller then asked for her credit card number so she could cancel this subscription. Really, why would you need a credit card number to cancel a subscription. There must be enough stupids out there that fall for this to help keep it going.
