I picked up an old 1958 version of this Lincoln welder in working condition are any of you guys familiar with these welders ?

I learned to weld on one 50 years ago. It was a better welder than I was. A good old AC machine, reliable and rugged.

I have one i bought at auction from a high school for $50. Like new. Have owned it for 30 years. Inside the date says 1955. It is a good welder for sure. I see some manufacturing companies still use one.

Not a Lincoln, but I still use this beast and it is way older than 1958.

I started working at Lincoln in '73 and retired in '14. Those are probably much better than the 225s, back when the transformers were wound with copper. If it's AC stick with 6013 rod and normal positioning.
