I just bought a gallon of feed grade molasses to experiment with rust removal.
What is the best ratio to use? With water I'm assuming.
Or is there a better fluid to use to mix with?
Does the mix do better if heated?
I have several rusty cast iron carburetors to try it on.

GOOGLE "molasses remove rust", you'll get 20,700 "opinions" to peruse.

Seems like feed store molasses doesn't have it's sulfur removed, as does grocery store molasses, apparently.

Looks like guys dilute it with water in ranges of 1:4 to 1:10.

I mix mine 9 water one molasses. It seams to work better in the summer months. since it takes at least a week or so, heating it will be hard to do. I have seen results in a few days. Stan
