Not quite finished

Last year I got a mowing job from an out of state owner. Gave them a bid, and got the job. The job is just a couple miles from home. I did the same job yesterday. After talking to the neighbor this year. I found out the land includes an abandon lemon grove. I guess what fouled me was the grove was outside the fenced three acres I had already mowed. The owner was sighted by the fire dept. I had do it, or the fire dept. would have had it done. So I went back today and did it. I was able to run over the dead trees, and the mower ground them fairly good. Most dead trees which were around three inches at the base, and just 4-5 ft tall just young trees. It took about an hour and a half. I don't know about you, but I hate to go back to a job I thought was finished. Stan

Most of my new jobs that I get now I google the address and if it is in WA state I can switch from map to photo and find landmarks to show the boundaries of the properties if the land owner is absent. Google also has a neat measure feature so I can calculate the acreage without leaving my laZyBoy....I rarely go to the jobsite to give a bid anymore...

Mowing for other people is usually a disaster in the making ! Dad used to do some until one time a part of a T post shot up through the top of the mower that was a really thick deck and went up past his head ! No more mowing other peoples places after that.
