Certainly works fine for pull implements
where you can go slow as you need to.
That other video he has of it running a
baler is certainly feeding it as light
of windrow as I have ever seen! But yes
it works pretty cool way to revive an
otherwise junk machine.
 
The horsepower is at different rpms than the original engine. Also the front would be light without the larger engine.

I have seen were fellows replace bulldozer engines with car/truck engines. The have the horsepower but not the weight to work very well.
 
Reminds me of the early days of dirt bikes. Can't afford new? Company doesn't make what you need? Shoot, just scrounge up what you got and bubble gum it together and viola! Instant dirt bike! A lot of early dirt bikers were farmers, too. When I was a kid nearly every farmer on the road had an old doodlebug subbing as a second tractor.
 
Well the plow wasn't set too deep and there was a lot of reduction from the engine to the
transmission. Sort of neat.
