My mom sent me these pics, they are in Washington DC right now. I thought maybe someone else would like to see them. I LOVE the name, "FLAK BAIT"!!! A Martin B-26 Marauder, that flew over 200 missions in WW2, it is undergoing "preservation", not restoration, at the National Air and Space Museum.

When I was about 12, I built a plastic model of Flak Bait. It eventually went by the wayside as I grew up. Famous plane.

I knew when I saw the picture where it was taken because we were there on vacation the first week of August.

Anyone who hasn't been to DC and seen the Smithsonian Museums need to take the trip at least once. I'm not particularly an artsy type, but the art we saw was awesome. Get into the other museums where they have everything from rocks to full sized steam engines, a steam locomotive, an Apollo and Gemini capsule, a space shuttle, and models that will knock your socks off.

All in all, it's a trip made in heaven for just about anyone, regardless of what they like.
