The Kind of Days We've Been Having

This picture from today shows the weather that has been all too prevalent in Sask. lately. Cool and damp with no sun to dry the crops still out in the fields. It was actually a good day to keep warm by cutting some firewood. I think we might have hit a "high" of 40 degrees. After yet another rain yesterday we need sun and wind.

Here in the northwest Sask. We have had almost 18" of damp snow. Then Sunday over an inch of freezing rain. A day with out power, and broken trees all over. There are many crops here that were standing. Now they are real flat. Especially the guys that had the canola for strait cutting. All fall we have had a total of 12 days that were dry enough to run the combine. Feeding cows has started early this year as the ice/snow has made swath grazing impossible. On the bright side. The moose are much easier to track in the snow.!!!
